From the East (North and South) – Penrith and the M6
Travelling West on the A66 from the M6 Motorway (Junction 40), continue towards Keswick passing the turnoff to Troutbeck (A5091). Continue for approximately 1 mile and take the next right turn signposted Mungrisdale and Caldbeck – the turn off to Near Howe is approximately 1 mile on the right-hand side.
From the West – Keswick
If approaching from the West, approximately eight miles past Keswick, turn left at the Mungrisdale and Caldbeck signpost – the turn off to Near Howe is approximately 1 mile on the right-hand side.
Train: The nearest train station is 12 miles away at Penrith. There are taxi numbers at the station.
Bus: The nearest bus stop is at the end of the Mungrisdale road on the A66. This is approximately 1.5 miles away.
